Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a Director of Scientific Publications in Boston to lead the development of high-quality clinical publications and strategic Publication Plans for oncology assets. You will guide cross-functional teams, ensure data-supported conclusions, and mentor staff while aligning with global policies.

The role requires a PhD/MD/PharmD or equivalent and 5+ years in medical communications, with expertise in publication strategy and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, MD or advanced scientific degree in a biomedical field with publications expertise.
• 5+ years of experience in medical communications/publications in pharma/biotech or related settings.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration and matrix work experience.
• Ability to operate within global publication standards and SOPs.
• Knowledge of ICMJE, GPP3, and company publication policies.

Responsibilities

• Leads cross-functional team to deliver high-quality publications.
• Manages strategic publication plans aligned with project strategy.
• Oversees third-party providers delivering publications activity.
• Ensures accuracy and data support for publication statements.
• Mentors junior team members and provides publication insights.
