Merck is seeking a Director of Zero Trust Infrastructure Security to lead a US-based team of Zero Trust engineers and drive the enterprise security program with Zscaler and SASE. The role focuses on strategy, architecture, implementation, and ongoing operation, balancing cloud, network, and endpoint security considerations.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in IT with 5+ years in Zero Trust and Zscaler implementations, strong communication, and a track record of leading high-performing security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or related field.
• Certifications such as Zscaler, CISSP or CIAM are highly desirable.
• 10+ years IT experience with 5+ years in Zero Trust and Zscaler initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, deployment, and operation of a Zscaler-based SASE platform.
• Mentor Zero Trust engineers and drive security program strategy.
• Collaborate across infra, cloud, security, and business teams to implement Zero Trust.
• Define engineering standards and explore AI-driven security enhancements.
