Role: An integral part of the Leadership Team managing the day-to-day operations of the Wellness component of the community to ensure maximum resident functional ability, safety, and wellbeing.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform continuous supervision of all wellness department team members, including recruiting, retaining, training, disciplining, counseling, motivating, scheduling, and evaluating; establish and build rapport among team members to facilitate teamwork.
  • Observe patients/residents under treatment to identify progress, medication side-effects, etc.; monitor and record vital signs; administer prescribed medications, injections, wound care, collect lab samples, and perform basic medical care tasks; assist with activities of daily living as necessary.
  • Coordinate and implement scheduled wellness meetings; ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations and policies.
  • Maintain effective communication with team members, residents, families, and medical professionals.
  • Report on the operation of the Wellness Department to ensure continuity of care; manage department budget within guidelines; submit recommendations for budget, equipment, and supplies.

Requirements:

  • LPN (Required)
  • RN (Preferred)
  • BLS Certification (Preferred, not required)
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures
  • Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology
  • Good physical condition and stamina
