Job summary

Tulsa Welding School-Houston is seeking an experienced education leader to oversee welding programs, faculty performance, and curriculum alignment with industry standards. You will drive student success, coordinate training events, and supervise a team of instructors in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

The role emphasizes leadership in technical training, program development, and utilization of Canvas for hybrid instruction content and communication. Remote work is not indicated.

Qualifications

• Direct field welding experience in structural, pipe, fabrication, industrial, manufacturing or commercial welding environments.
• Experience leading welding teams, apprentices, instructors, or shop operations.
• Experience in technical training, workforce development, or skilled trades education.
• Strong operational leadership and coaching abilities.
• Comfort using technology platforms and CRM systems to track performance, communication, and student engagement.
• Passion for developing future welders and supporting student success.
• Syllabus, lesson plans and curriculum follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Admissions, in-services, contests and demonstrations at recruiting events.
• Attend industry association meetings or serve as board member/volunteer where applicable.
• Produce weekly/monthly reports and analyze data for improvements.
• Ensure Canvas is used to support hybrid instruction (faculty bios, announcements, discussions, online gradebook).
• Oversee instructor performance metrics and development, including observations and reviews.
• Lead faculty recruitment, training, and management within budget and timelines.
• Monitor student retention and satisfaction, analyze drop/re-entry data and trends.
• Align curriculum with industry standards and emerging technologies.
