Job summary

PetVet Care Centers is seeking an experienced Director, DVM Talent Acquisition to lead our national team of DVM recruiters across General Practice, Emergency, and Specialty hospitals. You will set recruiting standards, coach managers, and drive hiring results with a focus on performance and service excellence.

Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Talent Acquisition, you will partner with medical and operational leadership, optimize processes, manage external vendors, and build pipelines

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 8+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience, including leadership of recruiting teams.
• Experience leading physician, veterinarian, healthcare, or other specialized professional recruiting functions preferred.
• Proven success leading recruiter performance and delivering hiring results in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Experience managing RPO partnerships, search firms, staffing agencies, or other external recruiting vendors.
• Strong understanding of recruiting metrics, reporting, and performance management.
• Proven ability to coach, develop, and motivate recruiting teams.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
• Experience with ATS, CRM, sourcing tools, and recruiting technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a national team of DVM recruiters.
• Establish recruiter performance expectations, productivity standards, and KPIs.
• Conduct performance reviews, pipeline reviews, and coaching sessions.
• Identify training opportunities to build recruiter capabilities.
• Oversee day-to-day DVM recruiting activities to meet hiring goals.
• Partner with leadership to prioritize requisitions and allocate resources.
• Monitor pipelines, aging requisitions, interview activity, and offers.
• Remove barriers to improve speed, quality, and efficiency.
• Ensure a high-quality candidate and hiring-leader experience.
• Manage RPO partners and external vendors to deliver quality candidates.
