Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a highly collaborative, treasury expert to join our team as a Director Treasury .

The Treasury Director contributes to the company's success by developing and executing treasury strategies that optimize cash management, liquidity, and working capital, minimizing the negative financial impact due to currency fluctuations, and centralizing cash within a limited number of safe-haven countries.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Develop and execute a cash pooling framework to ensure that a minimal amount of cash is held outside of the U.S. and/or similar safe-haven countries.
  • Develop and implement global treasury strategies and policies that align with the company's financial objectives.
  • Manage the company's cash flow to ensure liquidity and optimize the use of funds.
  • Coordinate with banks and financial institutions to manage/minimize banking relationships and negotiate favorable terms while optimizing operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with international financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor the treasury team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Implement hedging strategies to minimize foreign exchange transaction and translation losses.
  • Incorporate an intercompany netting framework to avoid physical cash transfers and associated costs.
  • Refine the company's investment policy and work with an external investment firm to ensure that returns on invested cash are maximized within the framework and balanced against an acceptable risk spectrum.
  • Minimize global days sales outstanding by developing policies to reduce customer payment terms, and work with the regional finance directors to ensure that the policies are being followed and that targets are set and achieved for both weighted average payment terms and weighted average payment days.
  • Maximize global days payables outstanding by developing policies to increase vendor payment terms, and work with the regional finance directors to ensure that the policies are being followed and that targets are set and achieved for both weighted average payment terms and weighted average payment days.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on both tactical and strategic initiatives so that scope of treasury is considered where applicable.
  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

    • Bachelor's degree in finance or related discipline.
    • Minimum 10 years in treasury, or similar role, with at least 3 years operating in a global environment.
    • Certificate of Training in Foreign Exchange Transactions
    • Advanced skills in Excel, treasury platforms, and Microsoft Dynamics, SAP or similar ERP systems.
    • Driven by continual learning and a desire to have an impact on the long-term success of the organization.
    • Ability to build effective working relationships across the organization, founded on credibility and mutual respect.
    • Strong analytical skills based on relevant data and critical thinking.
    • Focus on accuracy with a strong attention to detail.
    • Adhere to stated and self-imposed deadlines.
