UniGroup seeks a Director, Operations to provide strategic leadership for its transportation and logistics network, ensuring capacity planning, resource utilization, and service execution across product lines. The role strengthens our Contract Truckman network and supports Express and transportation services growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent).
• 8+ years in transportation/logistics/fleet ops.
• 5+ years leading teams and delivering results.
• Strong knowledge of transportation operations and capacity management.
• Experience analyzing operational and financial metrics to drive decisions.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation operations across multiple product lines with focus on capacity planning and service execution.
• Develop strategies to optimize capacity and utilization of fleet and Contract Truckmen.
• Partner with agents, customers, and internal teams to grow business and relationships.
• Monitor volume, capacity and performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Drive process improvements, tech enhancements, and best practices.
• Collaborate with sales and leadership to align capabilities with customer needs.
• Support recruitment and development of Contract Truckmen network.
• Evaluate financial and operational performance to boost efficiency and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Manage budgets and resources; present updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Lead a high-performing team with accountability and collaboration.
• Contribute to additional strategic initiatives as needed.
