Job summary

The Broad Institute's Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research is seeking a Director of Therapeutics Translational Neurobiology to shape strategy, identify novel targets, and lead execution across multiple preclinical programs in schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

Reporting to the Stanley Center co-director, you will manage a small team and collaborate with Broad's CDoT and business development to advance external partnerships.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Molecular/Cell Biology, Chemistry, or a related life sciences field.
• 10+ years of drug discovery in industry with CNS/psychiatric disease focus.
• Experience managing a multi-project portfolio and leading a team; external partnerships experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive scientific strategy across a portfolio of several therapeutics projects.
• Oversee target validation through drug discovery and preclinical proof-of-concept.
• Mentor project leads and build a team to prosecute new targets.
• Represent the center's therapeutics work externally, including partnerships and conferences.
• Budget planning and resource allocation across programs.
