Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL) seeks a Director of Total Rewards to lead Benefits, Claims, and Compensation teams, shaping comprehensive programs for retail, supply chain, and corporate staff. The role partners with leadership to implement strategic, cost-effective plans and ensure regulatory compliance.

The position will drive benchmarking, policy design, and pay-for-performance cycles, while mentoring teams and coordinating with HR partners, legal, and external vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business, or related field.
• 10+ years in benefits administration and HR operations; retail preferred.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience with project management, vendor management, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead Benefits, Claims, and Compensation teams to design and manage programs.
• Oversee benefits, benchmarking, pay structure, and wage auditing.
• Manage workers’ compensation, general liability, and risk management.
• Lead vendor relationships and contract compliance across the function.
