Job summary

Sika AG, a global specialty chemicals leader, seeks a Director, Process Technology—Continues Thermoplastics in the USA. The role leads strategic engineering for large capital projects, including automation and process innovations, across US sites.

The ideal candidate has a BS in engineering, 10+ years in chemical manufacturing, PMP, and a track record in project leadership, budgeting, and process optimization. Remote work possible; travel required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering (Chemical/Industrial/Mechanical) required.
• 10+ years of professional experience in chemical manufacturing.
• Proven track record in managing engineering activities in chemical plants.
• OSHA knowledge and documentation skills.
• PMP certification required; Six Sigma certification is a plus.
• Strong budgeting, risk management, and change management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop objectives, plans, and budgets for major projects like new plants and lines.
• Provide inputs to Masterplans and align with engineering manufacturing scope.
• Drive quality standards through effective engineering solutions.
• Lead technical decisions with senior management and site personnel.
• Direct internal/external resources to meet schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and mentor project teams.
• Conduct risk assessments and validate compliance with requirements.
• Ensure EH&S compliance and permit acquisition for projects.
