Job summary

First Citizens seeks a Director of Technology Operations to lead 24x7 Batch Operations, L1 Monitoring, and L2 Infrastructure Support across distributed, mainframe, and IBM i environments. The role focuses on availability, resiliency, observability, and service reliability for the bank's technology ecosystem.

This executive leader must bring deep technical and operational experience in regulated environments, driving automation, incident management, and modernization initiatives while partnering

Qualifications

Experience leading large-scale 24x7 operational support organizations.
Deep understanding of batch processing environments utilizing Control-M or equivalent technologies.
Experience supporting distributed, mainframe, and IBM i (AS/400) technology environments.
Strong knowledge of ITIL disciplines including Incident, Problem, Change, and Event Management.

Responsibilities

Lead 24x7 Enterprise Batch Operations and monitoring teams across multiple environments.
Drive incident response, recovery, and service restoration for critical workloads.
Improve observability, reliability, and operational maturity across platforms and teams.
Coordinate with global teams for 24x7 support coverage and follow-the-sun operations.
