Job summary

Mid-South Aggregates seeks a strategic Director of Technical Services to oversee quality, laboratory, technical services, product performance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across 12 operations. This role leads 10–12 professionals and builds scalable systems, standards, and processes that drive growth and customer outcomes.

The leader partners with operations and stakeholders to elevate product quality and performance, while expanding technical capabilities across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Geology, Materials Science, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years in aggregates, construction materials, asphalt, concrete, mining, or related industries.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience overseeing multiple locations or regional operations.
• Extensive knowledge of aggregate quality standards and testing procedures.
• Thorough understanding of ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, and MSHA regulations.
• Experience with laboratory quality management systems.
• Strong analytical and statistical process control skills.
• Proficiency with laboratory information management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong report writing, presentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all quality, laboratory, and technical services activities across 12 aggregate operations.
• Develop and implement a long-term vision for technical services and quality excellence.
• Establish common standards, procedures, and performance expectations across all locations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on compliance, consistency, and operational performance.
