Job summary

OpenTable is seeking a Director of Technical Program Management to lead a mature TPM team and drive execution across product and engineering areas. You will balance senior executive interaction with hands-on mentoring of TPMs, shaping operating rhythms and governance to scale delivery across hundreds of engineers while guiding product development lifecycles in an AI-enabled era.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of technical program management experience spanning large-scale software development.
• 5+ years of experience leading, developing, and retaining engineering or program management teams in high-growth tech environments.
• Proven track record managing technical program portfolios across complex, multi-entity organizations, including driving transformation and designing cross-functional operating models.
• Demonstrated technical fluency with the ability to engage with engineering leaders on software architecture, dependencies, trade-offs, and release management.
• Exceptional executive presence and communication skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders and turn ambiguous priorities into concrete operational plans.

Responsibilities

• Executive Management & Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership across Product, Engineering, Design, Data, Security, Infrastructure, and business teams to align priorities and manage dependencies.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Direct and elevate a mature group of TPMs, fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture with long-term career growth.
• Operating Model Transformation: Design and embed operating rhythms, delivery mechanisms, planning frameworks, and risk management across large technical portfolios.
• Strategic Execution & De-escalation: Translate executive narratives into actionable program structures, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
• Process Optimization: Improve software delivery practices and developer productivity using data-driven metrics.
