Creative Financial Staffing, LLC seeks a Director of Technical Accounting to lead statutory and GAAP reporting for insurance investments in the Hartford area. This hybrid role partners with portfolio managers, auditors, regulators, and clients to address complex accounting issues and regulatory changes.

You will drive policy, mentor staff, and oversee regulatory filings, annual statements, and client reporting, with a focus on IFRS alignment and NAIC guidance while shaping the firm’s accounting

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 6+ years of insurance investment accounting experience.
• Expertise in Statutory Accounting Principles, GAAP, IFRS, and NAIC reporting requirements.

Aufgaben

• Provide technical accounting leadership related to Statutory Accounting Principles, GAAP, IFRS, NAIC guidance, and insurance investment accounting regulations.
• Research, interpret, and communicate accounting and regulatory developments while developing accounting policies, technical memoranda, and formal accounting positions.
• Advise stakeholders on the accounting implications of complex investment transactions, including fixed income securities, structured products, derivatives, and alternative investments.
• Oversee technical support for regulatory filings, annual statements, audits, examinations, and client reporting requirements.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with investment, operations, compliance, legal, and technology teams to strengthen reporting accuracy and regulatory compliance.
