Occidental College is seeking a Director of Teaching, Learning, and Research Support (TLRS) in the Library Materials department. The role leads teaching, learning, and research support efforts, supervising librarians and guiding open access and scholarly communication initiatives.

The Director partners with faculty, Special Collections, and campus stakeholders to strengthen student learning and faculty scholarship, ensuring alignment with curricular priorities.

Formación

• MLIS/MLS or equivalent required (ALA-accredited).
• Minimum of 4 years library experience with 3+ years in leadership/management.
• Vision for advancing teaching, learning, and research in a residential liberal arts college.
• Knowledge of information literacy pedagogy, instructional design, and assessment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for TLRS, supervising subject librarians.
• Lead teaching and learning programs, including information literacy curriculum.
• Direct library research support and scholarly communications outreach.
• Foster academic partnerships and collections strategy with faculty and campus teams.
• Collaborate on policy development and library-wide planning.
• Represent TLRS in library leadership discussions and initiatives.
