Providence is seeking a mission‑driven Director, Surgical Services RN to serve as Operations Director and Nursing Director for Surgical Services in Alaska. The role oversees Pre‑Op, Ambulatory Surgery, Pain Clinic, OR, PACU, Endoscopy, and Sterile Processing, aligning strategy with PH&S and Magnet goals while driving clinical and operational excellence.

• Alaska RN license; required upon hire.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• MSN or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and clinical leadership for Surgical Services.
• Develop and manage the annual operating budget and financial performance.
• Collaborate with OR leadership and physicians to shape service delivery.
• Lead quality, safety, and Magnet culture initiatives across Surgical Services.
• Develop leaders, ensure performance evaluations, coaching, and staffing optimization.
• Represent Surgical Services in governance and interdepartmental collaboration.
