Job summary

St. Joseph's/Candler is seeking a Director of Surgical & Pulmonary Practices to lead the oncology service line's surgical and pulmonary programs across multiple locations.

The role focuses on strategic execution, operational excellence, and high-quality, patient-centered care for Gynecologic Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Breast Surgical, and Advanced Thoracic Oncology services. Qualifications

• Masters degree in Business or Health Administration required.
• Other related Masters degree acceptable with experience.
• 3–5 years of healthcare experience required.
• 3–5 years in a managerial position required.
• Experience with accreditation and regulatory requirements in oncology and surgical services.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic and operational leadership for Gynecologic Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Breast Surgical and Advanced Thoracic Oncology practices.
• Establishes standardized operational processes, workflows, performance expectations, and service standards across practices.
• Monitors practice performance, identifies operational barriers and implements improvement strategies.
• Builds and maintains effective physician relationships and ensures bi-directional communication among physicians, clinical teams, and operations.
• Oversees quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and accreditation activities for surgical and pulmonary practices.
• Provides oversight of oncology facility operations and supervises the onsite Facilities Manager.
