Job summary

Virnig Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Director of Supply Chain to provide strategic and operational leadership across purchasing, material planning, inventory, and supplier management.

This senior role oversees a Materials team across multiple locations and partners with Operations, Engineering, and Finance to strengthen the supply chain. The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience and can move between strategic initiatives and day-to-day execution while driving cost improvements and

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, materials management, purchasing, or related manufacturing operations.
• 3+ years of leadership experience with responsibility for managing and developing teams.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing, materials, inventory, and supply planning across multiple locations.
• Develop and execute supplier strategies to improve cost, quality, lead time, and service.
• Oversee supplier selection, negotiations, performance management, and development.
• Ensure material availability supports production schedules and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering on prototypes and new product introductions.
• Develop inventory strategies balancing availability, investment, and working capital.
