Job summary

University of Miami seeks an Executive Director for Student Success and First Year Foundations to lead a holistic advocacy system promoting undergraduate persistence and graduation. The role directs program development, staff management, and budget oversight within the Center for Academic Navigation & Success.

The position requires a Master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred) and at least seven years in relevant leadership.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field; PhD preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant leadership experience in higher education or student success.
• Proven ability to design and implement retention and progression initiatives using data-driven methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Office of Student Success Advocacy and oversee program development for student retention and completion.
• Recruit, mentor, supervise, and evaluate staff; manage budgets and onboarding activities.
• Collaborate with Institutional Research and deploy predictive analytics to improve persistence rates.
• Coordinate events and trainings; ensure compliance with policies and external regulations.
