Job summary

Washington State University (CPPS) seeks a Director of Student Success and Advising to lead advising staff and programs for PharmD students. Reporting to the Associate Dean, you will ensure retention and timely graduation while supervising Academic and Student Success Advisors and handling escalated student issues.

You will collaborate with faculty and university partners to implement strategies for student academic success, comply with policies, and foster equitable support for diverse learners

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s may substitute for one year of experience.
• Four years of full-time academic advising experience or equivalent.
• Ability to advise a diverse student population and support graduation goals.
• Strong communication and collaboration with faculty and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Academic and Student Success Advisors.
• Develop programs to improve student retention and graduation rates.
• Support course registration, mentoring, and CPD activities for PharmD students.
• Monitor progression and end-of-semester grading to ensure on-time graduation.
• Maintain a caseload of 90–100 students and provide guidance on student concerns.
