Job summary

Kansas Health Science University seeks a Director of Learning Enhancement to lead academic support and coaching initiatives for medical students at KansasCOM. You will design programs, provide counseling, and monitor outcomes across all four years of the curriculum.

Lead a team of Learning Specialists, supervise tutors, and develop workshops while aligning services with FERPA and Title IX requirements. Strong data skills and collaboration with Student Affairs are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education with a preference for candidates with academic counseling experience.
• 3–5 years of higher education experience and/or work with medical students.
• Proven ability to counsel students in study skills and learning strategies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and continuously improve learning enhancement services.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise Learning Specialists.
• Provide academic counseling to individuals and small groups for study skills, time management, and test-taking.
• Track student performance and evaluate interventions for effectiveness.
• Develop and deliver workshops on study habits and learning styles.
