Onward Search is seeking a permanent, on-site Structural Engineer Director to lead engineering operations for complex repair and retrofit projects in the construction industry. The role combines design, stamping, and EOR responsibilities with hands-on mentorship of engineers, drafters, and technical staff.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Civil or Structural Engineering, active California PE license (SE licensure a plus), and 10+ years of progressive experience with wood framing,

• Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) for complex structural repair and retrofit projects.
• Design, analyze, and stamp structural plans in compliance with the California Building Code and local jurisdiction requirements.
• Oversee engineering calculations, plan development, and final technical approvals.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, drafters, and technical staff.
• Collaborate with production, sales, and executive teams to support project success.
