Job summary

Retool Inc. in San Francisco, CA, is seeking an experienced Business Operations Lead to partner with the Executive team and scale the company’s processes and systems.

You’ll own high-value initiatives, design and manage the OKR framework, and collaborate across product, engineering, GTM, operations, and finance to support growth and IPO-readiness.

This fast-paced, cross-functional role requires strategic thinking, deep analytics, and excellent communication to drive initiatives to completion.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of work experience, including 2+ years at a top-tier management consulting, investment banking, or PE / VC firm, and 2+ years at a high-growth tech company
• Excellent analytical problem-solving skills with ability to unearth insights and turn them into recommendations and action plans
• BA/BS in Economics, Math, Finance, Engineering, CS, or other quantitative field; MBA or other advanced degree a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to synthesize findings and concisely articulate them to an array of audiences
• Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to adapt to a rapidly-changing environment
• Extremely organized and structured, with a proven ability to run projects and processes from end-to-end
• Ability to effectively build and maintain cross-functional relationships, manage multiple competing priorities, and drive projects to completion

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders across the business, from product and engineering, to GTM, to operations, and support strategic decision making and initiative prioritization
• Take end-to-end ownership of some of Retool’s highest value initiatives and open questions, from structuring the problem to implementing the solution
• Own the company's OKR process: designing the goal-setting framework, facilitating cross-functional alignment with leadership, managing the portfolio view across all initiatives, reporting progress and risks to the executive team, and driving select key results to completion
• Evaluate opportunities to up-level the way Retool operates, partnering with the C-suite, Finance, and other Operations teams to support our path toward IPO-readiness
• Incubate and help run new functions and teams
