The Howard University is seeking a Director of Procurement & Contracting to lead the procurement staff, oversee sourcing, contracting, and distribution of materials, and manage the university's purchasing operations.

You will oversee Central Stores, the procurement card program, supplier programs, and participate in ERP system design and maintenance while ensuring compliance with policies. Travel as needed and collaborate across colleges, administration and hospital.

Formación

• Experience leading procurement in a large university or public sector setting.
• Strong understanding of sourcing, contracting, and ERP systems.

Responsabilidades

• Functions as the Primary Procurement & Contracting Officer and supervises staff.
• Directs sourcing, contracting, and distribution of materials, equipment and supplies.
• Develops and implements office operations in compliance with policies.
• Interprets state and University policies; leads competitive bid processes.
• Develops RFPs and bid analyses for materials and services.
• Oversees University Central Stores and receiving operations.
• Manages the University Procurement Card program and EH&S compliance.
• Collaborates with Colleges, Administration and Hospital on procurement strategies.
• Participates in ERP design, implementation and optimization.
