Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin’s University Development Office on the UT Main Campus in Austin, TX seeks a Senior Director of Development for Strategic Initiatives to advance UT’s strategic plan by shaping transformative gift conversations and coordinating cross-functional teams across the campus.

The role entails leading proposal development, strategic planning, and ongoing collaboration with senior university leadership.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in a related role.
• Experience working with university senior leadership on strategic planning or organizational strategy.
• Experience managing cross-functional team projects or initiatives.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to craft compelling presentations and proposals.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate biweekly Transformational Giving meeting agendas and outline actionable next steps for the leadership team.
• Collaborate with UDO leadership to align UT priorities with fundraising needs.
• Develop a TG-specific toolkit with templates and checklists.
• Build and maintain a database to track multi-million proposals and donor activity.
• Support content development for university priorities and donor conversations.
