Job summary

The UCLA Teaching & Learning Center (TLC) is seeking an experienced communications leader to advance its mission of promoting inclusive excellence in teaching. This role leads the TLC's digital communications strategy, coordinating print and digital content across websites, newsletters, reports, and social media to raise awareness and engagement among UCLA instructors.

Reporting to the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning, the Director provides strategic counsel, oversees a content team, and

Qualifications

• 5 yrs of experience minimum; ten years preferred in marketing, PR, design, communications, or brand management.
• Experience developing and implementing communications strategies, websites, and social media.
• Experience leading a communicators' team in higher education or similar complex org.
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud, MS Office, web page creation/editing.
• Knowledge of ADA/WCAG accessibility standards.
• Knowledge of marketing research and web analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute TLC's digital communications strategy across print and digital platforms.
• Oversee content development and ensure alignment with UCLA branding.
• Coordinate messaging across TLC units to drive engagement with instructors.
• Provide writing and copy-editing support as needed.
• Track project status and manage internal/external communications requests.
• Advise TLC leadership on executive communications and change management.
