Job summary

Black Hawk College is seeking a Manager of the Teaching & Learning Center (TLC) and Online Learning to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the TLC and districtwide instructional support. You will guide instructional design, faculty development, and learning technologies to align with institutional priorities and regulatory requirements.

The role leads the development and execution of the TLC strategic plan, supervises staff, and represents the district with ILCCO and SARA.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
• Demonstrated experience in curricular development, instructional design, delivery, and assessment.
• Familiarity with learning technologies and contemporary instructional techniques.
• Strong project management, analytical, and team-building skills.
• Evidence of effective decision-making and professional judgment.
• Ability to design, implement, and facilitate faculty and staff development programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and manage daily operations of the TLC and Online Learning across the district.
• Oversee TLC facilities and staff delivering faculty development, instructional design, and learning technology services.
• Provide oversight for LMS operations and instructional technologies with day-to-day management by staff.
• Manage districtwide TLC strategic plan aligned with faculty needs and priorities.
• Collaborate with internal units to create shared processes, communications, and technologies.
