Job summary

Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts Texas Center for Arts + Academics in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Special Programs Director to oversee MTSS referrals, review diagnostic reports, and coordinate ARD, 504, and LPAC meetings to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

The role partners with Principals and staff to schedule and document student services, while providing training and coaching for Special Education and Dyslexia teachers; a Master’s Degree and Texas SPED certification,

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree and Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in Special Education.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide staff development training for school personnel in identification and understanding of students with disabilities.
  • Coordinate ARD, 504, and LPAC meetings with Principals and staff.
  • Coach Special Education and Dyslexia teachers and aides.
  • Consult with parents about educational needs and interpretation of assessment data.
  • Maintain compliance with Federal, State, and local requirements; document services.
