We are in search of a motivated applicant to join the BEA family for the following position:

Director of Special Education & Student Services

POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Special Education & Student Services directs the Special Education program of the District. The Director ensures program integration with the other instructional departments and the State. The Director ensures compliance with Special Education Regulations – State and Federal. The Director of Special Education & Student Services directs the work of special education teachers, paraprofessionals, school psychologists, and the MTTS Coordinator. The Director of Special Education and Student Services, in consultation with building administrators, coordinates the work of student support personnel including school nurses, school counselors, etc.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Masters degree from an accredited college or university, with at least 2-3 years Administrative experience. Special Education Supervisory certificate and Principal certificate or 5 years experience in Special Education.

TERMS AND HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT:

12 month, 7.5 hours, 7:30 – 4:00

VACATION/SICK/PERSONAL/EMERGENCY/HOLIDAYS:

Benefits as provided under the Act 93 Agreement

HOLIDAYS:

Same as Professional Staff

SALARY:Competitive salary based on experience
