Role and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for building and managing a team of Security Solution Engineers.
- Lead the Solution Engineering team in delivering GuidePoint's service capabilities to customers in partnership with Account Management.
- Provide mentoring and escalation support for the solution engineering team.
- Become an expert on GuidePoint's service delivery capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to offer complex solutions addressing customer problems and pain points.
- Establish trust with customers through transparency, consistency, and expert guidance.
- Effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Understand the cybersecurity product and vendor landscape to help customers navigate the market.
- Provide thought leadership through customer interactions, trade shows, and conference speaking engagements.
- Present to customers on cybersecurity market trends, product differentiators, and control frameworks.
- Conduct quarterly presentations on emerging security technologies to internal teams.
- This is a remote/virtual position when not traveling for client or internal meetings.
- Up to 50% travel required to clients in the New England and New York Metro areas.
- Must reside in the Boston or New York Metro areas to be considered.
Technical Requirements:
- Ability to manage and mentor a team of highly technical solution engineers.
- Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operationalizing security controls across various IT and enterprise systems.
- Proficiency in multiple cybersecurity technologies, including but not limited to: Next-Gen Firewalls, DLP, SSE, NAC, PAM, EDR, NDR, SIEM, APPSEC, CNAP, etc.
Experience, Education, Certifications:
- Minimum 10 years in an enterprise security consultative role building and assessing security architectures and programs.
- Minimum 5 years in a technical leadership role managing a team of sales or solution engineers.
- Experience in a corporate operational or technical leadership role.
- Experience selling cybersecurity technologies and services.
