Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. seeks a Director of Solar Construction within SDI Services to oversee foundation drilling and project execution for solar installations. This leadership role guides engineers and field personnel, sets schedules, and ensures safety, quality, and cost control across projects.

You will coordinate with engineers, suppliers, and clients, travel as needed, and drive successful delivery from inception to completion of high‑quality solar projects.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in project management, including budgeting and scheduling.
• Leadership ability and supervisory experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Thorough understanding of project management control systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement and Estimating).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies for efficient foundation drilling for solar installations.
• Lead and manage a team of professionals, including engineers and construction workers.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to design foundation solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Monitor project budgets, timelines, and quality control.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Implement best practices for solar construction to optimize project outcomes.
• Support Project Manager and Project Superintendent in delivering projects.
• Maintaining detailed daily construction records.
• Following project specifications and maintaining quality control records.
• Updating project schedules and cost tracking.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee solar projects from inception to completion.
• Conduct site assessments to determine feasibility, logistics, and risks.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to develop solar plans.
