Job summary

Blitt and Gaines, P.C. is seeking a Director of Software Development to lead the strategy, technical direction and operational management of Software Development, QA and Data Operations.

This hands‑on role requires deep engineering expertise, enterprise architecture experience and the ability to build and lead a high‑performing engineering organization. The Director will evolve standards, modern practices, AI‑assisted workflows and scalable architectures while aligning technology initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of enterprise software development experience.
• 3+ years leading software engineering teams.
• Experience designing enterprise software architectures.
• Strong Agile delivery experience and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute long‑term software engineering strategy.
• Lead architecture and design decisions for enterprise apps.
• Establish standards, guidelines and best practices.
• Drive modernization and reduce technical debt while delivering business initiatives.
• Oversee data operations, reporting and CI/CD improvements.
• Mentor leaders and build high‑performing teams.
