Job summary

Lilly IT is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead one or more domains within the Commercial or Clinical portfolio. You will set multi-year technical direction, define standards and invest in platforms to transform patient experiences.

In this role you will partner with product, UX, business, medical and regulatory teams to translate strategy into a funded, resourced roadmap. You will foster innovation while ensuring reliability, security and privacy across domains.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, IT or related engineering discipline (incl. software engineering)
8+ years in software engineering roles
5+ years as a software engineering manager
Demonstrated experience owning technical strategy and delivery roadmaps across domains
Experience with web and cloud technologies

Responsibilities

Set multi-year technical direction for domains and translate portfolio strategy into a funded engineering roadmap.
Define engineering standards, platform investments and ways of working beyond one team.
Lead hiring and talent strategy, headcount planning and budget for domains.
Collaborate with stakeholders to align engineering with product, design, business, medical and regulatory needs.
Improve engineering processes, metrics and governance for reliability, security and quality.
