Job summary

London Approach is seeking a Director of Shared Services to lead and transform our financial operations across a multi-location environment. The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in finance/operations with a track record of process improvement, automation, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in finance, accounting, operations or shared services
• Proven leadership in a complex org
• Experience leading multi-level teams in shared services/finance ops
• Proven track record in process improvement, automation and systems initiatives
• Strong understanding of financial operations, controls and best practices
• Experience with multi-location or field-based orgs preferred
• Excellent communication and relationship-building across all levels
• CPA, MBA and/or public accounting experience is a plus

We are partnering with an established, growing organization to identify a Director of Shared Services to lead a critical business function and help drive continued operational growth and transformation. This individual will oversee key shared services and financial operations functions while partnering closely across Finance, Operations, IT, and other areas of the business.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of financial operations leadership, team management, process improvement, automation, and transformation experience. This is an opportunity for a hands-on leader who can drive operational excellence while continuing to build scalable processes and high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations across shared services and financial operations functions
• Manage, develop, and mentor a multi-level team
• Partner closely with Finance, Operations, IT, and functional leadership
• Drive process improvement, standardization, automation, and operational efficiencies
• Establish and monitor KPIs, service levels, and operational performance
• Enhance systems, processes, internal controls, and shared services infrastructure

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive finance, accounting, operations, or shared services experience
• Proven leadership experience within a complex organization
• Experience managing multi-level teams and shared services or financial operations functions
• Demonstrated success with process improvement, transformation, automation, and/or systems initiatives
• Strong understanding of financial operations, systems, processes, controls, and operational best practices
• Experience supporting a multi-location, field-based, or service-oriented organization preferred
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to partner across all levels of an organization
• CPA, MBA, and/or public accounting experience is a plus
