Job summary

POLYWOOD is seeking a Director of Manufacturing | Sewing to lead two thriving sewing facilities in Syracuse, Indiana and Roxboro, North Carolina. This senior role focuses on hands-on leadership, training, and strong people development to raise quality, safety, and productivity.

You will build a formal training program, align operations across campuses, and foster a servant leadership culture that motivates teams to grow and excel together.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial sewing or sewn-products manufacturing leadership.
• Leadership at Manager/Senior Manager/Director level in sewing or manufacturing.
• Experience creating or shaping formal training or certification programs.
• Ability to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity while valuing people.
• Comfort leading across multiple locations and building trust with diverse teams.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and align sewing and cushion operations across two campuses (Syracuse, IN and Roxboro, NC).
• Develop leaders, improve operations, and spend time with teams on the floor.
• Create and implement a formal training and certification program.
• Build shared standards and culture while protecting strengths of each campus.
• Provide clear growth paths and career development for employees.
• Collaborate with HR, Safety, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to remove barriers.
