Job summary

POLYWOOD is seeking a Director of Manufacturing | Sewing to lead our industrial sewing and cushion operations across Syracuse, Indiana, and Roxboro, North Carolina. This senior, hands-on role combines strategic direction with close engagement with teams to elevate performance.

You will build training and certification programs, align two campuses, and develop leaders while preserving the healthy culture. You are a servant leader who stays close to the work, mentors managers, and drives safety,

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial sewing or sewn-products manufacturing.
• Leadership at Manager/Senior Manager/Director level in manufacturing.
• Experience creating formal training or certification programs.
• Improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity without dehumanizing people.
• Lead across multiple locations with a servant-leader mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead industrial sewing and cushion operations across Syracuse and Roxboro campuses.
• Develop leaders and establish clear growth paths and certifications.
• Implement training programs and certifications for the department.
• Coach and develop managers and supervisors with clear expectations and feedback.
• Protect and strengthen the existing healthy culture while pursuing targeted improvements.
• Partner with Operations, HR, Safety, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to remove barriers.
