Single Grain, LLC is seeking a Director of SEO & AEO to lead and actively contribute to the SEO/AEO team. You will build and run workflows, manage client work, and mentor the team while delivering client outcomes. The role blends strategy with hands-on delivery and AI-driven practices.

You will own the practice strategy, coaching, and delivery standards, with responsibility for results and scalable client success. Remote with US-time overlap; LA-area candidates are a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Experience leading SEO or organic-growth teams and improving results.
• Strong judgment across technical SEO, content strategy, analytics.
• Proven ability to coach practitioners and manage client delivery.
• Practical AI proficiency with measurable workflows.

Responsabilités

• Be a player-coach: do hands-on work alongside the team and run AI workflows.
• Lead and develop the SEO/AEO team through clear expectations and feedback.
• Set the practice roadmap and turn client goals into focused plans; manage capacity.
• Own service quality, support strategy conversations, and partner with client services on expansion.
• Establish measurement that ties search/AI to demand and results.
• Improve team processes; turn AI workflows into operating standards with checks.
• Make AI citation tracker a standard part of client accounts.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to keep commitments realistic.
