Job summary

Scale Computing is seeking a Director of Security and Compliance to own the program end to end from the Austin office. This executive leads PCI-DSS, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 efforts, defines risk strategy, and partners with Legal on incident notifications.

You will shape policy, manage third-party risk, oversee AI governance, and report posture to the executive team and board. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with 10+ years in information security and a track record of building

Qualifications

• 10+ years in information security
• 5+ years leading security or compliance teams
• Experience with PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or ISO 27001
• Experience leading incident response during major security events

Responsibilities

• Define security and compliance strategy with annual and quarterly objectives
• Own PCI-DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001 programs across Scale Computing and customers
• Define shared-responsibility model with managed-service customers
• Manage enterprise security risk register
• Oversee security policy, standards, and exception process
• Lead incident response and regulatory notifications
• Oversee third-party and vendor risk management
• Provide security assurance in sales cycles and audits
• Oversee AI governance for security and data handling
