The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum seeks a Director of School Programs to lead its school programs team. You will oversee curriculum-aligned services for teachers and students, both in‑person and virtually, while guiding resources and programs tied to standards and exhibition content.

Required are a Master’s degree and 5+ years in museum or school settings, with 3+ years of supervisory experience, strong writing and public‑facing skills, and experience with WordPress, Tableau, and

Competenze

  • Master’s degree in education, museum studies, music, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years work history in a museum or school.
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
  • Experience with museum education practices (object-based, inquiry-based, visual thinking) and K-12 standards.
  • Experience writing outcome-based lesson plans/curriculum.
  • Experience designing and facilitating professional development for educators.

Mansioni

  • Manage and evaluate full-time staff, on-call educators, and school program volunteers.
  • Oversee outcomes-based gallery tours, school programs, curriculum-aligned lesson materials, and online resources.
  • Oversee training for tour guides, staff, on-call educators, and school tour volunteers.
  • Lead planning, staff training, and ongoing evaluation for school programs.
  • Oversee development and maintenance of curriculum-aligned programs and digital resources.
  • Support Words & Music school programs and related events.
  • Represent the Museum in meetings, workshops, and events; build partnerships with schools and districts.
  • Oversee department reporting, records, and budget, including quarterly and annual reporting.
