Gilman School, part of Flik Independent School Dining, is seeking a Director of Dining Services to oversee all dining operations, ensuring exceptional service, high-quality meals, and client satisfaction across student meals, catering events, and daily service. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on team management in a private K-12 setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Business, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of dynamic food service management experience, preferably in school dining or high-volume environments.
• Experience leading budgets, financial reporting, and cost controls.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage deadlines, and implement initiatives.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership and direction for all food service operations, including student dining, catering, and special events.
• Maintain relationships with clients, school administrators, students, and guests to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design seasonal menus and culinary programs.
• Lead financial aspects: budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and daily sales reporting.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and allergen protocols; champion safety.
• Conduct pre-service meetings to align the team on expectations and service standards.
• Lead recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Perform mid-year and annual reviews; provide mentorship and development.
• Drive participation through marketing, menu innovation, and catering showcases.
• Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and presentation.
