Job summary

Nscale is seeking a Director of Project Controls – Scheduling to lead the North American scheduling function for a portfolio of large-scale data center projects. You will guide a team of schedulers, set standards, and deliver an integrated view of time across utilities, procurement, construction, and handover.

You will drive quantitative risk analysis, maintain critical paths, and provide credible, trusted delivery dates to executives and clients.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of planning and scheduling on large capital projects.
• Experience scheduling mission-critical facilities (e.g., data centers, power, or equivalent) valued at $500M+.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop the North American scheduling team (Project Controls – Scheduling leads, Schedulers, and Planners).
• Own the portfolio-level schedule and roll up IMS across all campuses.
• Establish and enforce scheduling standards (WBS, activity coding, calendars, baselining).
• Set schedule health metrics and conduct regular schedule reviews.
• Maintain visibility of portfolio and project critical paths; manage interconnections and handovers.
• Lead quantitative schedule risk analysis (Monte Carlo/QSRA) and contingency strategy.
• Define contractual scheduling requirements for EPC, design-build, and trade contracts; review contractor baselines and updates.
• Produce monthly/quarterly executive reports with milestones, trends, and actions.
• Select and implement scheduling systems (e.g., Primavera P6 EPPM) and dashboards; integrate with cost reporting.
• Collaborate with Project Directors, Construction, Engineering, Procurement, and Cost Management to align schedule with cost and contracts.
