Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Director of Scheduling to lead scheduling strategy for a major Life Science and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing client. You will drive Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), perform critical path analysis, and provide schedule risk insights to guide executive decisions.

You'll mentor scheduling staff, coordinate with project teams and contractors, and support proposals while maintaining robust progress dashboards and earned value tracking across multi-phase programs.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of scheduling/project controls experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience with Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences projects.
  • Strong client-facing skills with executive stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of construction lifecycle and integration with cost, risk, and change management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead scheduling strategy and ensure project goals are met.
  • Develop and manage Integrated Master Schedules across complex, multi-phase projects.
  • Provide critical path analysis, schedule risk insights, and mitigation strategies.
  • Drive schedule reporting and analytics, including dashboards and earned value tracking.
  • Partner with project teams, contractors, and consultants to validate schedules.
  • Review and negotiate contractor schedules for compliance and best practices.
  • Identify and escalate schedule risks, delays, and potential claims exposure.
  • Contribute to proposals and identify new opportunities.
  • Lead and mentor scheduling staff with resource planning.

Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Director of Scheduling for one of our largest global real estate services clients. This is a high-impact leadership role supporting Life Science and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing programs, where you’ll drive scheduling strategy, mitigate risk, and influence project outcomes at scale.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, leading scheduling strategy and ensuring project goals are met
  • Develop and manage Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) across complex, multi-phase projects
  • Provide critical path analysis, schedule risk insights, and mitigation strategies to support decision-making
  • Drive schedule reporting and analytics, including Progress updates, Variance analysis, Earned value tracking, Executive dashboards
  • Partner with project teams, contractors, and consultants to validate schedules and ensure alignment to scope and execution plans
  • Review and negotiate contractor schedules for compliance and best practices
  • Identify and escalation schedule risks, delays, and potential claims exposure
  • Contribute to business development efforts by supporting proposals and identifying new opportunities
  • Maintain active site engagement to validate progress and resolve execution challenges
  • Lead and mentor scheduling staff, including resource planning and professional development
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Professional certification preferred: PMP, PMI-SP, PSP, or similar
  • 12+ years of scheduling / project controls experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Experience with Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences projects
  • Advanced expertise in:
  • Proven ability to influence project controls strategy and best practices at a program or business unit level
  • Strong client-facing skills with experience advising executive stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly
  • Deep understanding of construction lifecycle and integration with cost, risk, and change management
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
  • Working knowledge of schedule analytics tools and Microsoft Office
