You’ll work directly with the General Manager and ownership, with the autonomy to shape the sales strategy and the accountability to deliver it.

Duties
  • Own the hotel's top‑line revenue strategy across corporate transient, group, airline crew, medical, government, and SMERF segments, with clear monthly and annual room‑night and revenue targets.
  • Prospect, solicit, and close new business through outside sales calls, site tours, networking, and telephone and email outreach; maintain a documented weekly calling cadence with proof of activity.
  • Negotiate and manage local negotiated rate (LNR) agreements, airline crew contracts, and group room blocks, including contract terms, cutoff dates, and attrition.
  • Build and protect key accounts with the airport, area hospitals and medical groups, military and government travelers, universities, and regional businesses.
  • Sell and manage the hotel's meeting space for corporate meetings, depositions, mediations, and small events, working with the operations team on setup, F&B, and execution.
  • Analyze STR reports, pace, production, and market share data to identify lost business, target competitor accounts, and adjust strategy; deliver regular performance reporting to the GM and ownership.
  • Maintain accurate account, activity, and pipeline records in the hotel's sales and CRM systems and complete all Hyatt sales reporting requirements.
  • Partner with the General Manager and revenue management on pricing, segment mix, and demand forecasting to maximize RevPAR.
  • Represent the hotel in the local community through chamber, CVB, and industry involvement, and act as an ambassador for the property's amenities: on‑airport location, airport and hospital shuttle, complimentary breakfast, on‑site restaurant and full bar, and flexible meeting space.
  • Support the hotel team as needed, including guest relations for key accounts and coverage during high‑demand periods.
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of hotel sales experience, with at least 1–2 years as a Director of Sales or Senior Sales Manager at a select‑service or full‑service hotel; Hyatt or comparable branded experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of prospecting and closing corporate, group, and crew business, with measurable results against revenue and market‑share goals.
  • Working knowledge of hotel sales and revenue tools, including brand CRM/sales systems (e.g., Envision), STR reports, and PMS‑based production reporting.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and written communication skills; comfortable engaging with senior decision‑makers at hospitals, airlines, and corporate accounts.
  • Familiarity with the Pensacola / Gulf Coast market, or demonstrated ability to build a local account base quickly in a new market.
  • Highly organized, self‑directed, and accountable; able to manage a full pipeline and reporting responsibilities without day‑to‑day supervision.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for outside sales calls.
Why Join Us

This is an opportunity to take ownership of sales at a well‑located hotel with new local ownership, a supportive GM, and a management company that invests in its people and systems. If you enjoy being out in the market, building relationships, and seeing your work show up directly in the numbers, we’d like to talk with you.

A few things you may want to adjust before posting: compensation and bonus structure (a base plus quarterly incentive tied to revenue or RevPAR index is standard for a DOS post), whether the role is on‑site or hybrid, and whether you want to list Jotform or an email address for applications. I can also tighten it to an Indeed‑length version if you’d prefer something shorter.

Incentive bonus also provided for this position.
