Compensation: $175,000 - $185,000 + uncapped commission (OTE $250,000 - $350,000)
Location: REMOTE with Travel (must live within one hour commute of an international airport)
Schedule: Mon – Fri, Standard Hours
DIRECTOR OF SALES RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive Sales Performance: Lead a team of Account Managers to execute a national sales strategy and achieve revenue targets.
- Coach and Develop Talent: Provide guidance, coaching, and support to Account Managers, conduct regular meetings to review pipeline, strategies, and performance metrics.
- Optimize Sales Operations: Monitor sales activities via CRM tools, ensure accurate forecasting and pipeline visibility.
- Support Account Growth: Assist in developing account plans, identifying upsell opportunities, and resolving customer challenges.
- Enhance Team Capabilities: Facilitate training to boost product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Refine Value Proposition: Continuously evaluate and champion a compelling value proposition tailored to target customers.
- Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with VP of Sales on sales strategies, provide updates and insights for decision-making.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Marketing and Inside Sales to develop enablement tools, campaigns, and outreach strategies.
- Brand Representation: Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
- Channel Partner Support: Engage with channel partners through strategic guidance and sales collateral.
- Continuous Improvement: Measure and optimize sales strategies and team performance using KPIs, implement corrective actions as needed.
DIRECTOR OF SALES QUALIFICATIONS:
- Technical Acumen: Background in electrical power monitoring, electrical engineering, or IT.
- Industry Expertise: Minimum 5 years in Mission Critical industry, focused on sales/business development.
- Project Experience: Electrical project engineering experience with End Users, OEMs, Integrators, and Partners.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Proven leadership in managing diverse teams remotely and in-person.
- Driven & Resilient: Strong drive, open personality, thrives on challenges.
- Networking Skills: Ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally.
- Communication & Presentation: Skilled in technical proposals, tenders, and impactful presentations, comfortable with video and public speaking.
- Contractual Knowledge: Experience reviewing legal agreements.
- Adaptability & Learning: Eager to learn new tools and skills to support growth.
- Location & Travel: Reside within one hour of an international airport in a major U.S. metro area.
