Job summary

HELP USA is seeking a Safety Director for one of our Bronx facilities to plan, organize, and direct a 24/7 safety program ensuring a safe site for clients, staff, and visitors.

You will lead safety staff, coordinate staffing and training, and act as On-Call Administrator, responding to emergencies and handling weekend/night shifts as required. Strong supervisory experience and FDNY certifications are highly valued.

Qualifications

• FDNY F-80 and F-02 certifications are required.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience is required.
• 5+ years in law enforcement or related field; 7 years preferred.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience with homeless families or disadvantaged populations.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all Safety Staff at the facility, including staffing, recruitment, orientation, scheduling, training, growth, and performance evaluations.
• Serve as On-Call Administrator; respond to emergencies; weekends and night hours as needed.
