Job summary

Greenbush Logistics is seeking a Director of Safety to oversee DOT and safety compliance across our operations, including audits in maintenance shops, terminals, and plants. The role leads safety initiatives and ensures regulatory adherence while reporting findings to management.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of safety-management experience, with the ability to develop training programs and maintain crucial safety documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; and/or 3-5 years of experience managing safety programs; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and establish a safety culture at all plant locations.
• Oversee DOT Trucking Compliance Programs, including CMV Files, Driver Qualification Files, Drug/Alcohol Programs, Vehicle Inspections, Hours of Service.
• Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and FMCSA compliance.
• Conduct Safety meetings and presentations for safety matters and accident prevention.
• Conduct Maintenance Shop Audits and report findings to the Director of Maintenance.
• Develop safety training programs including safety suite, video coaching, online driver training, and ELD oversight.
• Maintain documentation to comply with Safety Management Plan, OSHA, and applicable regulations.
• Inspect equipment for unsafe or non-compliant conditions and ensure corrective action is taken.
• Evaluate Roadside Inspections of company trucks and assess accuracy.
