Job summary

Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. in Cambridge, MA is seeking a senior operations leader to partner with the Takeda Safety Board Chair, shaping the strategic direction and driving its operational excellence.

You will own processes for DMC, IRC and FiH, coordinate across global teams, develop training, SOPs, playbooks, and measure performance against KPIs while promoting cross-functional collaboration and a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or business-related field.
• Advanced degree in science or business is desirable.
• 8 years direct experience in the pharmaceutical industry or related field required.
• Previous experience influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders is a plus.
• Health care business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.
• Demonstrated ability to work across functions, regions, and cultures.
• Demonstrated leadership with the ability to inspire, motivate and drive results.
• Demonstrated strong project management capabilities.
• Excellent communicator, able to persuasively convey both ideas and data, verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrates leadership presence and confidence across all levels of the organization, including Executive level leaders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Takeda Safety Board (TSB) Chair to develop strategic direction of the TSB and enable operational excellence.
• Provide operational and project management leadership to facilitate TSB processes and activities including escalation and company-wide communication.
• Ensure training on TSB processes and continuous improvement by incorporating learnings into ways of working and performance measurement.
• Function as Business Process Owner for DMC, IRC, and FiH and set strategic direction for these processes.
• Develop, implement and maintain TSB company-wide communication and materials.
• Lead on assigned projects to drive organizational goals and operational excellence.
• Act as SME overseeing RSI CAPA-related activities and TSB governance.
