Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in piano and organ to accompany liturgies confidently.
• Experience recruiting, rehearsing, and directing choirs, cantors, and other musicians.
• Excellent organizational, communication, scheduling, and planning abilities.
• Collaborative spirit with pastor, parish staff, and volunteers.
• Knowledge of Catholic liturgy and sacred music, with ongoing study of liturgical norms.

Responsibilities

• Provide musical leadership for weekend Masses (Saturday 4:00 PM, Sunday 9:00 AM, 10:30 AM).
• Coordinate music for holy days and major liturgical celebrations.
• Establish and maintain Adult and Schola Choirs; recruit and rehearse participants.
• Collaborate with cantors, instrumentalists, and other music ministers.
• Coordinate music for weddings and funerals as part of duties.
• Plan liturgies with clergy and staff; promote sacred music within worship.
• Maintain music library, instruments, schedules, and budget.
• Participate in parish staff and liturgical formation meetings.
