Pyramid Global Hospitality, owner of Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking a Director of Rooms to lead front office, security, bell, valet, and housekeeping departments. This role reports to the hotel executive team and focuses on strategic and operational decisions to optimize guest experience and revenue.

The position requires strong leadership, guest service excellence, and the ability to oversee multiple departments with a proactive approach to staff development and process

Responsibilities

• The Director of Rooms is responsible for providing all guests with exceptional service while maximizing room revenue and productivity.
• Ensure total compliance with standards of operation.
• Keep all departments updated on changes and additions with well-written and verbal communications.
• Work in conjunction with Sales and Reservations to ensure maximum hotel occupancy.
• Supports and creates programs and initiatives that encourage employee development, training, and career growth within the Rooms Division.
• Develops relationships with return guests, group contacts, and other guests to provide personalized service.
• Resolves customer complaints by handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
• Keep a flexible schedule to accommodate the workload around the arrival and departures of hotel guests.
• Meet weekly with the Front Office Manager to discuss topics of mutual concerns.
• Routinely inspects all areas of responsibility.
• Supervise daily room blocking.
• Supervise updating of the Guest History program and educate each department about their need to be involved.
• Perform additional duties as requested by the General Manager.
