The Laura Hotel in downtown Houston is seeking a Director of Rooms to oversee Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping and Laundry, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction and achievement of financial targets.

As a member of the executive team, you will supervise Rooms Department Managers, develop budgets and forecasts, control labor costs, and implement SOPs to optimize operations and service reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of management experience in hotel operations.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, including budgeting, safety, and guest services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to resolve guest, supervisor, and associate conflicts.

Responsabilités

• Support the General Manager in managing all Rooms Department operations.
• Supervise all Rooms Department Managers on routine and strategic plans.
• Develop and execute Room’s division budget and revenue forecasts.
• Implement controls for expense management and labor scheduling.
• Collaborate with the Executive Committee to meet financial goals.

NoOverviewSupport General Manager in managing all aspects of the Rooms Department including Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Laundry in order to achieve the guest satisfaction, operating and financial goals of the owner.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise all Rooms Department Managers on daily, weekly, monthly, and annual action plans related to property strategic plan. Communicate, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to staff. Help realize and contribute to Rooms Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.Develop and execute Room’s division budget and revenue forecasts. Develop and implement controls for expense management. Utilize labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs.As a member of the Executive Committee for the property, the Director of Rooms is expected to help create and execute the financial objectives of the hotel.Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.Qualifications and SkillsMinimum 3 years of management experience, preferably in both rooms and FandB.Knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, preparation of business plans, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and long-range planning.Able to resolve guest, supervisor, and associate conflicts.Effective verbal and written communication skills.
